As a web designer of the LG European Market Department, I was responsible for the design of LG Magazine – a key project that required a range of tasks to be completed. My primary responsibilities included conducting market analysis, surveying customers, and collecting feedback from the target user group. Based on these insights, I designed both low and high fidelity prototypes of the LG Magazine website while adhering to LG’s brand guidelines and design system.
In addition to design work, I communicated closely with the disciplinary team – including digital producers, web developers, copywriters, and project managers – to ensure the feasibility of the design and its technical requirements. Through regular iterations, I was able to incorporate feedback from customers and stakeholders to further refine the design and enhance the user experience.
Overall, my role in the LG Magazine project allowed me to apply my analytical and creative skills to create a website that met the needs and preferences of the European market. The successful deployment of the website is a testament to the effectiveness of the design process and the value of gathering customer feedback to improve the overall user experience.
The design process follow the Design Thinking framework. By following the Design Thinking framework, we can ensure that the LG Magazine website meets the needs of the target user group and aligns with the business objectives of the project. Additionally, it allows us to gather feedback and continuously improve the website to provide the best possible user experience.
- Empathize: Conduct Market Analysis and Collect User Feedback
To kick off the project, I conducted a competitive and feature analysis of the CMS-based product promotion web magazines available in the market, with a focus on well-established international brands. Working closely with the team, I also surveyed and interviewed our customers to gain deeper insights into their needs and pain points . By combining these insights with our competitive analysis, we were able to develop a clearer understanding of the market landscape and identify key opportunities for our own product.
